Present Perfect Tense


The present perfect simple tense is used to talk about a past time, which has very strong meaning for the present.

Present Perfect Tense Timeline


For Example :
  • The train has already left.
  • We have informed to the police

(A)  Form : 
  1. Affirmative : Sub + has/have + Past participle
  2. Negative : Sub + has/have + not + Past participle
  3. Interrogative :
  • Inverse Question : Has/have + Sub + Past participle  
  • Wh-Question : Wh-word + has/have + Sub + Past participle.
 Examples : 
  •  She has just gone out.
  • We have not finished our home work yet.
  • We have not got the invitation card.
  • Have you seen this film?
  • Have they finished the work?
  • Why have you not invited him ?
  • Who has broken this window ?
(B)  Key Words : - for,Since.
       
       For : It indicates the period of time.
       Since : It indicates the point of time.
